Today is my final day and so after checking the list of things to do yesterday we decided to look at some accounting from 9am for half an hour. Then after a few notes about changes to make to this website I edited it for a bit and then had a catch up at about 10:30am.

Today I did further reading and research in to different business theories and approaches. I looked at the agile mindset, creating an elevator pitch and the four principles of change management. I looked at these theories between 9-12 whilst also discussing their importance during a catch up at about 11.

I then had my lunch break and began working again at 1. We went through the list of task that I was to complete this week and decided what I was to do on the final day. We decided that I had gained experience on everything but project management and set that as a task to do tomorrow. I then edited this website until about 4PM

Today I started work a little later at about 10am when I then had an introduction to Edexcel and data analysis. I answered some questions on what I had learnt and I did this till about 11:30am.

At 12 I had a driving lesson and then didn’t come back from my lunch break until 1:30pm. After a brief catch up I then watched some videos made by Rory Sutherland and his interpretation of the business world. I watched a video on his 10 rules of alchemy which was sort of him giving advice on how to stand out in the business world.

Then after another small catch up at 2:45 I then worked on my personal statement and this website.

After taking a two and a half hour rather quiet train I arrived in London at about 10:45am where we headed straight to the offices after taking a stuffy tube ride. It was surrounded by lots of buildings containing lots of lawyers apparently. After a short tour I met the developers and they were all very nice.

I saw the amazon HQ building whilst heading of to buy lunch. We went to this market which had loads of food options like Greek, Moroccan and Ethiopian. after being overwhelmed by choice I went for a paella which was delicious.

Once everyone had finished eating we walked back to the office where I then watched the developers work on some code. I wasn’t able to keep up with most of it but understood what they were doing on a very basic level. Then I worked on this website.

Next I visited the different floors of the building and met some more people. Then around 3:30 I had a short break and then sat in on a meeting. Shortly after this we left the office and I caught the train back home. It was a long and tiring day but it was worth it because I gained more insight into the world of work.

Hi today was my first day of work experience. I was looking forward to it and so made sure I got a good nights sleep and was ready to go at 9am. I had a zoom call in the morning and the business was explained to me and the sort of tasks that I would be completing. I set up a work email account and decided on what to work on today.

10am I sat and listened in on a small meeting. I then worked on my personal statement for an hour and then had my lunch break from 12pm-1pm. After which I did a health and safety induction for an hour then I worked on this website.
